Opening Day 2008

GO Rangers!!! We took Clayton to her very first Rangers game on Opening Day. She was so excited to be outside. She absolutely loved it! We (the parents) didn't actually watch much of the game because we were too busy watching Clayton's response to everything. It was so fun! We were sitting right behind home plate, so Clayton could get in on the action!
However, she was out before the first pitch was actually thrown!!! She did wake up around the 3rd inning...and we were walking around the entire park by the 5th inning. We had a blast experiencing her first Ranger's game! Luckily, we have season tickets, so we will have tons of opportunities to go with her...anyone up for babysitting! HA! HA!

A Trip To The Zoo!!!

So, I am going to try to go back and catch up on some things that I didn't get to post because I wasn't "blogging!" Last week, we took Clayton on her first trip to the zoo. Yes, she was not even 10 months old, but Mark and I couldn't stand the thought of staying at the house and saying "No, no, Clayton" any longer! So, last Wednesday, we took Clayton to the Fort Worth zoo, and we convinced Ashleigh that she should go with us. We had a blast. We only stayed there for about 2 1/2 hours, but Clayton did awesome as long as the animals were moving around. We saw penguins, jaguars, white tigers, and all sorts of apes! She hated the gorillas because they made loud, roaring sounds, and she started crying. For some reason, she doesn't like those kinds of sounds?!?! She loves Otis, our Golden Retreiver, but he doesn't bark...and she HATES "yippie" dogs because they do bark. Here are some pics of Clayton and Ashleigh at the zoo...

My First Entry

Okay! It is SUMMER, and I thought I would try to "blog" a little of our life...unfortunately, Clayton is already 10 months old...so I will have lots of catching up to do! I am not really sure what I am doing...this is sort of an experiment. I have seen several of my friends' blogs and think it would be a great way for every one to keep up with us...ok, everyone can keep up with Clayton Grace.

Clayton is actually with her grandparents today. We left her there yesterday because her Aunt Catherine was in, and we had to come back because we had tickets to a Rangers game. So...I am thinking that I will have a little extra time to start something new and creative...you know how it is...the summer starts and you have tons of lofty ideas and dreams of what you are going to do during the summer time...like I said, we will see how this all plays out.

Hopefully, I will see you again soon!!!
